First Christian Church of Wylie has called Dr. Don Hawkins to serve as interim pastor.  Dr. Hawkins, a Rockwall resident, currently serves as President of Encouragement Communications and manages an internet radio station, The Worship Channel (www.theworshipchannel.org).

Dr. Hawkins served for thirteen years as president of Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham, Alabama.  During that time, he served five churches as interim pastor.  Dr. Hawkins holds the Th.M. degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and the D. Min. from Calvary Theological Seminary.  He is author or co-author of 21 books, including Never Give Up, Master Discipleship, and Friends in Deed.
